Student participation in academic mobility program “Erasmus +”

During the spring semester of the academic year 2018/2019, as part of the KA1 academic mobility program “Erasmus +”, a student of the IMIm-19-2 group Andrei Ponomaryov studied at the Istanbul Technical University at the Department of Electronics and Electrical Engineering. KA1 training is conducted in English. Andrey also completed pre-certification practice on the topic “Investigation of the effect of active interference on Bluetooth connections”. Given the high motivation, diligence and determination, Andrei not only successfully completed his studies at Istanbul University, but also then defended the certification work of the bachelor with excellent marks.

Already in the fall semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, under the same “Erasmus +” mobility program, two more students of this group, Kotov Dmitry and Kurlan Alexander, joined Andrei Ponomaryov, and went to study at the University of Pardubice (Czech Republic) in September, where they annually our masters undergo the KA1 “Erasmus +” program.

A monograph was published as part of the project

Since 2018, our teachers, Chebotaryova D.V. and Kalyuzhny N.M., led by the head of the department, are working on a research and educational project with representatives of Harbin University of Engineering and Qingdao University.

This year, the scientific monograph “Optimization and Mathematical Modeling of Communication Networks” in English, which became one of the planned results of design studies. By the way, Guo Qiang, a representative of Harbin University of Engineering, and Zheng Yu, a representative of Qingdao University, as well as Valeriy Semenets, Rector of KNURE, joined the work on the monograph.

As part of a joint agreement with lifecell, a lecture course on “Evolution of Mobile Networks” from specialists of the company is currently being held.
Dmitry Voichuk, Senior Engineer of the New Technologies Management Department, and Peter Fedyankin, Senior Engineer for Planning and Optimization of Radio Access Systems, opened the course of lectures first, telling about the stages of the development of mobile communications.
The course program will show the evolution of mobile networks from 1G to the latest 5G technologies. Also in the course will be presented modern devices and equipment that are used at mobile communication stations, network traffic management technologies and the factors that influence the design of future mobile communication networks will be described.
The lecture program announced the launch of the annual project “Jump to life” from lifecell.
In this project, students undergo internships and training at lifecell with the possibility of subsequent employment.
Participants in previous seasons of the project work in the branches of the company in Odessa, Kiev, Kharkov.

International Scientific and Practical Conference “Knowledge-based Technologies in Infocommunications” (HICT)

From 22 to 25 May 2019, the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Knowledge-based Technologies in Infocommunications” (HICT) was held on the basis of the hotel and tourist complex “Ksenia” (Vrublivtsi village).
The organizers of the event are the Department of Informatics of the Kamyanets-Podilskyi Ivan Oguyenko National University, the Department of Combat Application and Operation of the Automated Control System of Kharkiv Ivan Kozhedub Air Force National University and the Department of Information and Network Engineering of the Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics.

Representatives at the conference were not limited only to participants of such leading Ukrainian HEIs, leading scientists and specialists from Dresden Technical University (Germany), Geneva Technical University (Switzerland), University of Tampere (Finland), University Pardubice (Czech Republic) and Technological Humanitarian Academy in Bielsko-Biali (Poland) joined the conference. The total number of participants who expressed their desire to participate directly in the conference has exceeded 60 people, of whom 29 doctors of sciences and two academics.

Visiting the Technical University of Pardubice (Czech Republic)

Within the framework of the implementation of the international mobility program “Erasmus+” (KA107 International Credit Mobility) a visit of our Head of the Department Bezruk V.M. and and off Senior Lecturer Fedorov O.V. to the Technical University of Pardubice (Czech Republic) for conducting classes, as well as three masters of KNURE for studying.

The visit took place from April 8 to May 1, 2019. During this period, seminars were conducted on the methods of selection and recognition of the given signals in the tasks of automated radio monitoring for masters and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics. Along with conducting seminars prof. Bezruk V. M. and Senior Lecturer Fedorov O.V. participated in the international scientific conference MAREW-2019 with the joint report “Detecting and Recognition Signals in HF Radio Monitoring” (Bezruk V., Ivanenko S., Fedorov O., Nemec Z., Pidanic J.).
