The Department of Information and Network Engineering

carries out the preparation of bachelors, masters and doctors of philosophy (PhD) within

the specialty 172 of Telecommunications and Radio Engineering.

Telecommunications and Internet technologies are one of the most important areas of the rapidly developing IT sphere. The revolutionary changes that take place in our lives, business, social and industrial infrastructure are connected with telecommunications and network technologies. Already now, the most modern technologies such as the Internet of things, Internet TV, mobile communications of the 5G generation, etc., are rapidly entering into everyday life. The annual growth of 25% in the information and communication technology and telecommunications sector significantly exceeds the growth rates of the best economies of the world, and the world’s IT brands in the field of telecommunications have become the most successful business projects of the last decade. Telecommunications and radio engineering are a combination of methods and devices aimed at providing users with the required quality of communications telecommunication services. The generalized object of the activity is the technologies of creation and functioning of telecommunication and radio engineering devices. The main branches of telecommunications today are: Internet, mobile communication, data transmission networks, satellite communication systems, digital television, telephone communications, electronic banking.

The peculiarity of training is the provision of up-to-date knowledge in the fields of technology transfer of information, especially in the Internet environment, based on the establishment of telecommunication systems and networks using wired, fiber optic and wireless communication channels, taking into account the requirements of interoperability of information and transport protocols, as well security requirements.

Graduation Department

The Department of Information and Network Engineering, which currently consists of 5 professors and 16 candidates of science, has many years of experience in international cooperation with European universities and joint implementation of projects aimed at ensuring the quality of education and training of students at the international level. level. Currently, courses are being prepared for the relevant educational programs of the graduating department for training foreign citizens.

Teachers of the department, along with students, actively participate in various scientific events, such as scientific conferences, competitions in their specialties, open lectures, seminars, internships from leading IT companies in the field of telecommunications.

Qualification levels of education

Education at the department of IMI is carried out at the first (bachelor’s) and second (master’s) levels of education. Each educational program has full resource support in accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine “On Higher Education”. The IMI department provides training for the following levels of education:

Students are taught in full-time, part-time and correspondence-distance education.

Our graduates work in Ukrainian and foreign large and small IT-companies, business structures, banks, public sector and municipal enterprises, mobile, fixed-line, cable, IP and digital TV operators, IP-telephony, Internet service providers.
