Turkish Republic delegation visited KNURE

During the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Turkey to KNURE, our laboratory “Hardware and software for mobile communications” was inspected, where the equipment was installed, which was provided by the well-known companies “Ericsson” and “lifecell”.

Among the representatives of the delegation were Ahmet Yagmur Guldere – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine, Umita Yildiza – Embassy Counselor for Education, Bulenta Baran – Second Secretary of the Embassy and Aishe Aydogdu – Second Secretary of the Embassy. During his working visit, together with the rector of our university V. Sements, issues of further development of cooperation and implementation of joint projects in science and education were discussed.

We add that in 2017, at the IMI department, a laboratory “Hardware and software for mobile communications” was opened with the support of the telecommunications company “lifecell”, which is part of the group of companies of the Turkish operator Turkcell. Since 2015, the company has been implementing the lifecell universities project. Within the framework of which “lifecell” opens educational telecom laboratories in technical universities of the country. Such laboratories enable students of telecommunications specialties to study the work of a telecom operator on their own university mobile network and equipment, and as a result – the Ukrainian mobile communications and telecommunications market receives qualified specialists.

Now only three universities in Ukraine can boast of such equipment: Kharkiv National University of Radio Electronics, National University “Lviv Polytechnic” and National Technical University of Ukraine “Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute”.
