Education and Career

1973 – graduated with honors from Kharkiv Institute of Radio Electronics (KHIRE) in the specialty “Radiotechnics”.

From 1973 to 1975 – worked as an engineer at the Central Design Bureau “Proton”.

1981 – began to work as an assistant of the chair of multichannel communication.

1984 – defended his Ph.D. thesis.

2004 – defended his doctoral dissertation in the specialty “Radiotechnical and TV systems”.

Since 2006 he has been working as a professor at the Department of Communication.

Since 2009, after being elected by the competition, he works as the head of the department “Communication Networks”, now the head of the INE department.

 

Educational activities

Conducts lecture lessons on educational disciplines: Fundamentals of information and communication technologies, Automation of designing of communication networks.

 

Research activities

He is a member of the organizing committees of 2 international scientific conferences and a member of the editorial boards of 3 scientific and technical magazines “Radiotechnics”, “Telecommunication problems”, “Radio electronics and management”.

For many years he has been a secretary of the specialized academic council for the defense of doctoral dissertations D 64.052.03.

He is a full member of the Expert Council on the examination of dissertation papers of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the field of electrical engineering, energy, electronics and radio engineering.

Since 2017 he is a member of the scientific and methodological subcommittee of the Scientific-methodical council of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering”.

Main directions of scientific research – Recognition of random signals for solving various applications, in particular in the fields of radar, automated radio control, technical and medical diagnostics; Simulation and multi-criteria optimization of communication systems and networks.

He trained over 5 postgraduate students to successfully defend candidate’s dissertations.

 

Social activities

He took part in the development of the standard of higher education in specialty 172 “Telecommunications and Radio Engineering” for the first (Bachelor) level of higher education.

 

International activities

Since 2016, he is coordinator of the international mobility program “Erasmus +”.
